- MSc. analytical or physical Organic Chemistry degree
- Minimum 5 years related industry experience
- Expertise with synthetic and/or organic Ag pesticide formulations
- Experience with clay or mineral-based carriers for organic compounds is highly desirable
- In-depth knowledge of GC/GC-MS/HPLC chromatography methodologies
- Proven independent, innovative, pro-active research approach and/or technical support, however, comfortable working in a team environment
- Initiative for learning new technologies as well as providing solutions to complex problems where little precedent exists
- Clear communication skills including both verbal and written communication of technical reports and research
- Adaptability in terms of priorities and working on multiple projects

Hansen Agri-PLACEMENT is seeking an experienced Research Scientist to formulate Ag chemical materials to support the growth of a firmly established Ag manufacturer. This individual will focus on developing new applications and products for carrying synthetic and biological pesticides or active ingredients; as well as supporting the final formulated products of our B2B customers. This individual will also interact closely with internal research and development teams, sales teams and customers by providing technical assistance as needed. Primary duties to include:
- Conducting independent research and applications work in physical organic chemistry and pesticide formulations
- Supporting analytical, instrumental and materials characterizations for various research projects and programs
- Modifying materials with functional addivites at laboratory and pilot plant scales
- Working with limited or no supervision and interacting closely with sales teams and customers by providing technical assistance as necessary
- Exercising independent initiative in the analysis and interpretation of results supporting pesticide applications for Ag chemical carriers, crop horticulture and engineered granular delivery systems

This Research Scientist will report directly to Vice President - Technology.
