JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

- 2- or 4-Year Diesel Technology degree or other Ag-related degree preferred; employer may consider equivalent experience.
- Experience as Manager or Lead Technician in the Service Department of an Ag Equipment Dealership or other Ag industry organization.

- Customer-service focused.
- Natural leadership skills to include coaching and training.
- Strong organizational interpersonal skills to see tasks through to completion.
- Solid communication skills with service personnel, Ag customers, co-workers and management personnel.
- Ability to communicate effectively one-on-one and within a group setting.
- Strong computer skills to include Microsoft Office and standard Ag service applications.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Hansen Agri-PLACEMENT is seeking an experienced Service Manager for an Ag Equipment dealership located in northern Iowa. This Service Manager will oversee the Service Department for the dealership, focusing on both internal and external customer satisfaction. This role will pay a key role in growing profitable labor sales. A key focus of this role will be exercising expense control for the Service Department as well as targeting positive net return on sales. Other key responsibilities to include:

- Financial performance of Service Department.
- Achievement of desired metrics, including profitable sales growth for dealership, disciplined expense control and targeted net return on sales.
- Recruiting, hiring, training and retaining service technicians and other department talent as well as effectively developing department personnel.
- Overseeing personnel scheduling as well as assignment of jobs to service personnel.
- Reviewing work orders for accuracy and completeness prior to customer billing.
- Following up on the process of all invoices over $4000.
- Providing clear, consistent direction for Service Department personnel.
- Setting a positive example at all times by following and enforcing policies of dealership and organization.
- Communicating positively with customers and assisting to resolve all billing disputes.
- Continually looking for additional business opportunities with existing customers and within community.
- Establishing good business relationships with existing and new customers.
- Demonstrating a genuine concern for the dealership and serving as a primary contact for the dealership and organization on large customer issues.
- Exhibiting excellent communication skill set and working seamlessly with other dealership departments and personnel as well as other organization personnel.
- Maintaining a positive attitude while promoting Service Department teamwork.
- Procurement of specialized tools and equipment for Service Department.
- Continually working toward improvement of Service Department operations and efficiency within department.
