QUALIFICATIONS:

- Bachelors Degree in Ag Business, Fleet Management or Related field. (This employer will accept a combination of education and experience in lieu of this requirement).
- 5+ Years experience in agricultural transportation fleet management and an understanding of efficient equipment specifications for order dispatching.
- Must be qualified for and maintain possession of a DOT drivers license.
- Must be able to read and analyze technical specifications and regulations in English.
- Must be able write and communicate business correspondence and procedures manuals.
- Must be able to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
- Must be able to interpret instructions in mathematical or diagram form.
- Should have excellent capability with the MS-Office suite of software.
- Must be able to stand, sit, walk, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. Must be able to use hands to finger, handle, and reach.
- Must be able to talk and hear, use a telephone.
- Must be capable of regularly lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds, frequently lift and carry 25 pounds.
- The employee will be exposed to moving mechanical parts of machinery, wet and/or humid conditions, extreme heat and cold, risk of shock or vibration.
- The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

Hansen Agri-PLACEMENT is assisting an established AG employer in their search for a Transportation Manager for their Idaho region. The Transportation manager directs all transportation operations, maintenance, safety, and dispatch for the Idaho division. The Manager supervises all full-time and part-time transportation employees and coordinates the operations schedule, coordinates customer usage and on-hand inventory and coordinates customer relations events with the sales team.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

- Manage transportation personnel to make deliveries to meet customer delivery needs.
- Coordinate productions schedules with the Operations team to ensure the timely dispatch of orders and the efficient use of equipment
- Observe all OSHA, DOT, State and Federal safety regulations and maintain equipment within those regulation requirements and standards.
- Conduct monthly safety training with assigned personnel
- Provide monthly report on truck utilization efficiencies
- Purchase fuel while considering price and quality
- Provide monthly fuel usage and inventory report to Accounting.
- Evaluate, prepare and present equipment replacement costing.
- Work with Operations Manager to schedule and budget all major repairs and upgrades to the truck fleet.
- Occasionally make deliveries, drive and evaluate equipment, review operating status of drivers
- Train all assigned employees in the safe operation of equipment
- Maintain a positive attitude that promotes teamwork and a favorable image of the Company.
- Work to improve efficiency, employee performance, and company profitability
- Act as a customer liaison for delivery issues, quality control inquiries or complaints.
- Complete all regulatory filings, reports, and payments in a timely manner.
