- Prefer a candidate who's been in a lead position in a feedlot, ranch, or even a dairy operation
- Prefer 2-3 years of experience working with animal health, nutrition, calving, recip cows, AI, all in the setting of feedlot to grazing on irrigated circles
- Prefer good animal health skills; Spot, Diagnose, Treat/Doctor cattle of all ages. Experience in working with Recips and AI would be a strong advantage
- Feed, pen maintenance, facility upkeep, yard sanitization


Hansen Agri Placement is searching for a good Working Feedlot/Ranch Manager responsible for day-to-day operations of a small feedlot, backgrounding, and ranching operation for this northwestern New Mexico Cattle producer. Feed yard and additional grazing is an hour away from Ranch Headquarters of the family-run enterprise. The owner would like to find a person who can operate and run this location without supervision. Location involves around 500 cows, and 400 calves that which vary in numbers during the year pending grazing and feeding. Need to have good Animal Health skills; spotting, diagnosing, and treating cattle. The person will assist in feeding, pen maintenance, all aspects of this yard. A person needs to have a good attitude and be a good communicator. Will need to have some prior experience in leadership and making a schedule for day-to-day operations working with 3 people. Communicate with the owner on daily basis. Good feedlot and facilities have been and will continue to be upgraded. The feedlot is in a good location for a family and schools, which makes this a good opportunity for a long-term position.
