QUALIFICATIONS:

- Degree in mechanized agriculture or related field preferred
- Certification or equivalent experience in farm-equipment-specific machine requirements, (JD Preferred)
- 3+ years experience as a Ag Shop Manager/Shop Foreman
- Possess extensive knowledge of agricultural machines, implements, tools and software, including their designs, uses and maintenance
- Computer skills including Microsoft Office and internet functions
- Leadership skills
- Ability to write and speak effectively to individuals
- Parts Inventory Management

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Hansen Agri-PLACEMENT is searching for a Farm Shop Manager for growing farm operation in northeast Minnesota. This individual will coordinate and direct the farm's Service Department. Maximize efficiency and productivity while providing quality repair work. This is a working position, so Shop Manager will be turning wrenches too. Responsible for ordering parts and maintaining the inventory of parts, directed by management. Must be able to plan how thing will come through the shop for regular maintenance. Able to direct other employees that will assist in the shop. Will need to maintain equipment and shop facilities to the owners' standards.

Responsibilities:
**Provide assignment of jobs and work areas to Service Department employees based on their skills and knowledge.
**Assist in the appraisal of repair orders and repairs. Review repairs for accuracy and completeness.
**Directs and assists in the diagnosis of machine problems of technicians.
**Inspect and repair all special tools, recommends new tools as required.
**Provides feedback to Owner, of employee complaints, technician skills, training needs and overall performance.
**Assist in conducting Safety Meetings.
**Develop, document and train the Standard Operating Procedures of all machines.
**Plan and manage preventative, planned and corrective maintenance of all equipment including precision farming systems.
**Calibrate machines for field operationalization per the agronomic protocol.
**Reporting all maintenance and other reports.
