Job Title: Dairy Heifer Operations Manager

Qualifications:

- 5+ years of management experience in a dairy heifer or calf-raising operation

- Strong leadership and employee management skills
- Fluent in English and Spanish (Dairy Spanish at a minimum)
- Solid understanding of heifer nutrition, herd health, and reproductive programs
- Experience managing feed operations and inventory preferred
- Proficient with herd management software and data analysis
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and lead a large team


Job Description:

Hansen Agri-PLACEMENT is representing a dairy heifer operation located in New Mexico who is seeking an experienced Dairy Heifer Operation Manager. This position will oversee all aspects of heifer development from calves through pre-fresh animals, including herd health, nutrition, reproduction, employee management, and operational performance.


The successful candidate will lead employees, work closely with veterinarians and nutritionists, maintain health and breeding records, monitor performance metrics, and ensure established protocols are followed. Responsibilities also include managing feed operations, overseeing facilities and equipment, coordinating maintenance programs, and utilizing technology and data to improve efficiency and animal performance.
