Hansen Agri-PLACEMENT is assisting a progressive, family-owned farming operation in southeastern Colorado in their search for a dependable and motivated Farm Assistant.

This is a diversified, irrigated crop and cattle operation with a strong, long-tenured team and a reputation for stability, efficiency, and doing things the right way. The employer is seeking an individual who values teamwork, takes pride in their work, and is looking for a long-term opportunity in production agriculture.

This position is a hands-on, jack-of-all-trades role, with a strong emphasis on irrigation management and general farm support. The right candidate will be someone who can step in where needed and contribute to a well-run operation alongside experienced team members.

Salary Range: $50,000 and up DOE

Primary Responsibilities

The majority of this role will focus on general farm operations, including:

• Assisting with general farm operations across crops and cattle
• Operating farm equipment as needed (tractors, planters, etc.)
• Supporting planting and seasonal fieldwork
• Performing general maintenance and mechanical repairs
• Assisting with cattle work, including seasonal calving
• Helping wherever needed to support daily farm operations

This role requires flexibility and a willingness to contribute across all aspects of the operation.

Qualifications

• Basic farm background required preferred (tractor experience preferred - will train the right person)
• Mechanical aptitude (or strong willingness to learn)
• Experience with irrigation or pivots is a plus but not required
• Strong work ethic and reliability
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• Good communication skills and willingness to take direction
