- Need 3+ years experience in management of a breed to wean operation and/or 10+ years in the swine industry with skills to manage
- Strong swine health skills and bio security
- Proven Team Leadership / Team Development Experience
- Excellent communications skills, both verbal and written
- Computer proficiency
- Ability to speak or at least communicate in Spanish is a plus
- Facility upkeep experience is a plus
Hansen Agri-PLACEMENT is searching for Breeding to Wean Manager for a family owned swine operation (60+ years) in west central Illinois. Employer is replacing a long term manager due to retirement and is looking for an individual that has strengths in the farrowing sector at this time, it's important that you need to have knowledge in both the breeding side and also working with the piglets on early weaning. Wanting an individual with a team attitude that is willing to teach, leadership, have strong communications skills, bio-security, record keeping, and operating in a safe manor. Additional skill sets that you can bring to the table will be considered and will be considered in negotiation of pay and a plus in finding the right person for this position. Flexible in terms or Salary or working by the hour. Also willing to work with a senior manager that has another 3-5 years before full retirement and willing to share there many years of knowledge and train the next generation.
