This Hansen Agri-PLACEMENT candidate majored in Crop Science at Chico State University. He has worked for a variety of different operations each time gaining the necessary experience to progress his career forward. He first worked on the college Farm as the Lead Student Assistant looking after 350 acres of row crop land along with 200 acres of orchard ground. As a summer internship and after college job he worked for a 2,000-acre ranch where the focus was on rice, walnut and registered Herefords. After college he first worked as a Field Services Technician and then later progressing to a Field Sales Representative for a large Ag company. He has extensive use of common agriculture equipment, including high horsepower tractors used in field tillage and smaller orchard tractors. Proficient with current pesticide application knowledge regarding orchard and common field crops. Extensive knowledge of California farming techniques in a variety of different orchard and field crops. Unique experience in maintenance/operation of ammonia conversion to a common source of nitrogen fertilizer. It is his ultimate goal to get back to working on the farm in a management setting and where he feels he's made strides to accomplish that over the past years.
