Candidate Description:

This Hansen Agri-PLACEMENT candidate has over 17 years of experience operating farm equipment, and participating in year-round crop work. Currently he is the head farm assistant and equipment operator at a 10,000-acre family owned farming operation in Nebraska growing dry and wetland corn and soybeans. During the spring months he is responsible for spraying all of the farm ground both pre and post planting. Currently he operates a John Deere R4044 sprayer with 120-foot booms. During the summer months he helps run and maintain irrigation systems, as well as keep up with workshop duties and prepping equipment and semis for harvest. During harvest he has been operating a John Deere S780 combine with 30 or 40-foot MacDon bean heads, and 12 row corn heads. After harvest he helps do tillage work or run a bulldozer to build or fix terraces, and other necessary dirt work. During the winter months if he isn’t doing dirt work, he helps with other aspects of the farm such as spreading dry fertilizer, hauling grain, cleaning out grain bins, equipment maintenance or repairs and other work shop duties. He is a self-starter and excels at equipment upkeep. He works well independently and with little oversight. He is mechanically inclined and familiar with working on a variety of farm equipment. He has the ability to perform a large variety of work shop duties and has experience with welding, grinding and acetylene torch. He is searching for a position that would be long term and he is open to relocating for the right opportunity. Looking for position he can continue to grow in the crop production industry.
