This Hansen Agri-PLACEMENT candidate is the Shop Foreman on an 11,000-acre farm and also fills in running planters, cultivators, combines and driving truck. His responsibilities include repairing equipment, building various items, making sure crops were planted and harvested in a timely manner, equipment repaired and set up for use in a timely manner, looking up and ordering parts and maintaining inventory and supervising the shop. He is responsible for all equipment repair and maintenance, looking up parts, stocking inventory, making work orders and PO numbers and consulting with the owner regarding which pieces of equipment should be replaced due to high repair bills and cost to operate along with trade-ins. He supervises 1-5 employees depending on the time of year. He is very skilled in TIG, MIG and Oxy-Acetylene welding as he has 26 years of experience. He has experience with plasma cutters, torches, turning lathes and milling machines. He previously worked 15 years at a welding and repair shop repairing equipment, fabricating and building various items and running a milling machine and turning lathe. He has repaired all types of equipment from planters to semi-trucks and trailers to heavy equipment. He does mechanical work, such as servicing engines and vehicles, changing water pumps, injector lines and other small items.
