Candidate Description:

This candidate grew up ranching in northern Montana, where his family ran about 700 head of Limousin beef cows and around 40 head of horses. They raised both alfalfa and grass hay as crops, using flood irrigation. From a very young age he was given responsibility to contribute in completing the work around the ranch; milking and feeding animals, fencing, mechanical repairs, animal husbandry, horse training, and various other tasks all began to be part of my training and responsibility. His parents instilled not only a good solid work ethic, but also a strong sense of integrity and honesty in his dealings with others. Growing up he was involved in the community through scouting, achieving Eagle Rank, sporting events, and helping to organize community events such as concerts, rodeos, etc. He valued education and completed his MBA. While going through school he managed a riding and boarding stable, gaining both organizational as well as communication skills through organizing events, creating new client incentives, and working with other employees. He worked as Asst. Manager on a large cattle ranch in Idaho, and had the opportunity to enhance communication and people skills and he worked to develop budgets, create work schedules, prioritize projects, work with local and governmental agencies in grazing and incentive programs (Angus source, etc.), and develop marketing strategies and tactics that would enhance and increase the profitability of the cattle program. This candidate is a strong worker with great communications skills and an ability to lead and work together as a team. He can make decisions and has the ability to analyze quickly. He enjoys the outdoors and working in the livestock industry for the unique challenges it can present. This candidate has been married 18 years and has 4 children. His wife grew up in a family of Veterinarians and also led an Ag based life in her youth, and has always been his biggest supporter.
