This Hansen Agri-PLACEMENT candidate has worked on a number of different places, from registered Angus ranches (400 cows, 11,000 acres) to larger commercial operations (1,800 mother cows on 135,000 acres supervising 4 full-time employees). At his last job he was running the farms/ranches for a state University, supervising 6 employees, three units, with 500 sheep and 200 mother cows. He is a life-long learner who put himself through graduate school in two years while managing a large, commercial cattle ranch. He is a self-starter who can look around and see what needs to be done without being asked. He pays attention to details and is a creative problem-solver who believes in honest and open communication. It is his goal to teach his sons about caring for livestock and the land, and about the notions of honesty, hard work, and accountability. It is his ambition in life to leave a place better for having been there. He is looking for his “forever” job, one from which he will retire in 20 years.
