This Hansen Agri-PLACEMENT candidate is an experienced Hands-On Farm Manager with direct, hands–on experience in virtually every task involved in successfully planning, planting, growing, harvesting, and marketing crops, including many types of vegetable or fruit for fresh sales. He has extensive knowledge producing both conventional and certified organic crops. He has specialized in plastic mulch and drip irrigation production He speaks moderate Spanish and work well with Hispanic labor. He has especially strong skills in nutritional and chemical recommendations and applications, directing equipment maintenance of a large fleet, budgeting using Excel and other programs, negotiating purchase contracts, marketing and selling crops, and continuously analyzing operating information to better manage operations and produce higher profits. He has excellent electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, fabrication design and repair skills. He is knowledgeable of farmland development, property maintenance, the use of construction equipment (Deere & CAT) operating, service and preventative maintenance. He is proficient in the latest farm operating technology to date including GPS controlled equipment (Trimble & John Deere), has 30+ years with laser and 10 years with GPS controlled precision grading, construction of packaging facilities, operating and repair of automated drip irrigation systems. He understands the consumer’s need for food safety and do my best to stay up to date with the ever-changing regulations.
