Farm / Assistant Farm Manager

This Hansen Agri-PLACEMENT candidate is a hardworking, self-motivated, efficient, farm assistant manager. He has 25 years of experience with planting, combining, livestock management, and leadership. He works well with senior management and peers to build relationships, communicate, and be accountable. Assists in planting and harvesting 8500 acres of corn, soybeans, and wheat. Assists farm manager and assistant farm manager in organizing and overseeing daily activities for 10 employees for shop and field operations. He performs farm maintenance on all combines, tractors, planters, sprayer, anhydrous equipment and tile equipment. He has experience with conventional, strip-till, no-till and cover crop practices, organic experience on 800 acres corn, soybeans, and wheat, and soybean seed production experience on 400 to 500 acres yearly. He also has experience overseeing a 450 custom heifer raising facility and assisted in designing buildings, feed alleys, ventilation. He organizes feeding schedules, feed bunker management, feed TMR rations, vaccination shots, pregnancy checks, assisting the breeder, bedding and cleaning of buildings and scape alleys, working with feed consultant, caring for sick calves and record keeping. He operates the hay cutter, tedder, rakes, small square balers, round baler, and forage chopper, between 300 to 800 acres yearly. Operates the corn dryer, grain bins and fans. He operates semi-trucks to haul grain to local elevator in fall and spring and for chopping of rye, alfalfa, and corn silage. He received Dicamba training, , Paraquat Training, has a Commercial Applicator License and is Nh3 Certified.
