Ranch Assistant

Candidate Description:

This Hansen Agri-PLACEMNT candidate is a young man who grew up on a farm where his dad worked. The farm had a 400 head feedlot and raised 3,000 acres of corn, soybeans, and alfalfa. He started working at his neighbor’s agronomy center when he was a freshman in high school doing simple cleaning and maintenance tasks. When he was a junior in high school he started to work for his uncle who had a 120 head of commercial cows and 640 acres of alfalfa. Here's where he learned a lot about cattle from that experience. His senior year of college he started working for a purebred cattle operation and then worked full time for them after college and took over the duties of watching over the calving barn during calving season. He is a recent college graduate with a degree in Animal Science-Business and Production Specialization with a minor in Agricultural Business. Much of his work experience was with farm machinery and livestock which cultivated his passion for animal agriculture. In both his academic and professional life, he has been acknowledged by his professors and peers for being mission oriented. Whether working on academic, extracurricular, or professional projects, he enjoys applying proven analytical, problem-solving, and multitasking skills, which he hopes to leverage into his future position.
