This Hansen Agri-PLACEMENT candidate spent summers during high school working cattle and fixing fence with his father, taking care of about 100 black angus, red angus, Hereford cross breed cow-calf pairs. He attended college studying animal science before proudly serving in the Marine Corps for four years acquiring valuable skills such as discipline, teamwork, and a strong work ethic. He is currently furthering his education by pursuing an associate degree in animal science. His coursework has provided me with a solid foundation in animal nutrition, animal health, and sustainable agriculture practices. His proficiency and experience extend to various aspects of agriculture, including animal handling, animal health, and cattle management. He is well-versed in tasks related to cattle environments, such as heavy equipment operation, hay crop irrigation, rotational grazing practices, welding, and fence building. Additionally, his problem-solving abilities and adaptability allow him to thrive in dynamic conditions. Effective communication, both written and verbal, is another strength he brings to the table. His hands-on experience spans ranches, feedlots, grow yards, sale barns, and farm-style operations. He believes in the importance of sustainable practices for the long-term health of our environment and communities.
