Hansen Agri-PLACEMENT is searching for a Farm General Manager for this almost century old producer. The General Manager is responsible for planning and training the team to perform the daily activities of the nursery including: the welfare of the plants, application of water, fertilizer and insecticide, pruning, spacing, shipping and inventory management within the farm budget. The General Farm Manager directly manages the team of farm employees and ensures they are working effectively and efficiently. This position will coordinate employees into efficient teams to produce high quality plants in the most productive manner.

Builds, leads, and trains successful team members to carry out assigned tasks. Ensures plants are being cared for daily, including water, fertilizer and insecticide. Complies with company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Assists in controlling costs associated with maintenance, supplies, and labor. Sets long and short term targets in conjunction with corporate goals. Coordinates and oversees completion of special projects. Makes recommendations for operational improvements. Oversees safety training meetings and ensures employees are working safely. Oversees maintenance and upkeep of buildings, grounds and equipment. Responsible for all crop production on the farm including fruits trees, shrubs and perennials (approximately 1.5 million units). Plans planting schedules, varieties, and quantities. Oversees pest I.D., control, applications, and records. Oversees maintenance of proper inventory counts, proper spacing of plants and efficient shipping. Responsible for quality control for all production. Coordinates purchases of supplies necessary for production. Ensures adherence to company policies and guidelines for all production employees. Develops and maintain weekly production staff member schedule. As a direct representative of the business, must always exhibit respect for all coworkers, supervisors, and customers. Assists with other duties as necessary.
