QUALIFICATIONS:
  • 3+ Years experience in Feed Mill Operation, Prefer at least 2 years of Feed Mill Supervisory experience
  • Ability to work at high elevation
  • Ability to read, understand and effectively communicate information through speaking and writing
  • Excellent customer service, public relations, and telephone etiquette skills
  • Excellent Hand/Eye/Foot coordination
  • Ability to walk, crawl, climb, and stand in typical industrial conditions indoors and outdoors.
  • Independent self-starter; able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Demonstrated leadership skills
  • High attention to detail
  • Logical / Analytical Math skills to include: Percentages, Fractions, Some Algebra
  • Computer Proficiency with MS-Office suite of tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and the Internet
  • Computer Proficiency with Beta Raven, Agris, Concept V, AEI, and/or eFeed a Plus
Hansen Agri-PLACEMENT is assisting an established Ag Employer in their search for a Feed Mill Manager whose role it will be to oversee all functions of the feed mill including, but not limited to: ensuring a safe work environment, managing employees and being accountable for the financial objectives of the mill. Other responsibilities include:
  • Manufacture feed for company livestock operations
  • Oversee day-to-day operations of the feed mill
  • Oversee shell egg recovery operations
  • Supervise scale house operations
  • Manage grain and ingredient condition, inventory and measurements; reconcile daily computer inventories
  • Manage and Maintain proper recordkeeping of bills of lading and receiving documents
  • Oversee proper feed mill maintenance
  • Assure the feed mill meets financial objectives and reporting
  • Make regular reports of all feed mill activity to company management
  • Manage and review employee performance, conduct employee meetings and training, and work with Human Resources on all employee issues as appropriate
  • Ensure all operations are compliant with OSHA regulations and company policies and procedures.
  • Perform mill operations duties in the absence of trained employees and as necessary for training or to maintain proficiency
  • Perform other tasks as necessary
