QUALIFICATIONS:

- 2+ years of experience in working with cattle, prefer feedlot setting, but general animal health and feeding will be considered
- Strong communication, record keeping, inventory, and routine maintenance required with attention to detail and safety. Need to have passion and desire to do your job
- Must be a team player with a willingness to help when & where needed. Need to be a good listener, self-motivated, responsible, proactive and forward-thinking
- Need strong animal health, with ability to identify sick cattle and treat as needed
- Planting through harvest experience is a plus, in addition to having trucking experience & with a Class A CDL all a plus, but not required
- Welding, mechanical ability, pivot irrigation preferred, and overall maintenance of farm equipment
- Late model farm equipment w/ guidance, variable rate & application, and mapping technology a plus
- Salary is open to negotiation of what it takes to hire the best

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Hansen Agri-PLACEMENT is searching for a good Feedlot & Farm Assistant for this central Nebraska Crop Producer. A person needs to be proactive, forward-thinking, self-motivated, and able to handle anything that comes up around the feedlot to from fencing, livestock waterers, to the maintenance of equipment and just overall maintenance around the feedlot & the farm itself. Need to be a good communicator and work well in a team environment. Feedlot and farming operation continues to expand. This position has lots of potential for more and more responsibility as one advances along the learning curve. Diverse operation has additional opportunities for those that want to work more hours during seasonal times. Our employer is running late model equipment and updating on regular basis. New shop facilities to work on equipment as needed and when feeding is complete. Good opportunity for a long-term position with a good future.
