Hansen Agri-PLACEMENT is assisting this northwest Iowa employer seeking a Feedlot Manager for a small 500-800 head feedlot. Searching for a person with strong cattle experience to work in all areas of the feed yard with day-to-day operations, for the most part will be a one-man operation. Need a person who has good job stability and a good livestock / animal husbandry background. Person will check cattle/pen ride throughout the feed yard, oversee processing and shipping cattle, and will take care of cattle feeding. Need a person who can see the big picture, who can make decisions on his or her own as well as work as a team player in communicating information to the owner as well as carrying out directions as given. During busy times additional help will be available, but also during slow times must be willing to assist with other operations around the farm from equipment operation to working with swine. Currently working a rotation of two weekends on and three weekends off out of five. Family friendly in good community and do have large house available for a larger family if needed. May consider couple if wife would have swine nursery experience. Wages are determined by experience.
