JOB TITLE: FIELD AGRONOMIST - EASTERN COLORADO
ABOUT EMPLOYER:
Our client is a long-established Agronomy organization providing the latest agronomy technologies, research and science to support their Field Agronomists and customers. Employer also offers research facilities to help Field Agronomists provide productive and profitable crop inputs to Ag Growers. This employer focuses on the needs of the Ag Grower first to ensure the recommendations and services provided by their Field Agronomists help to make the Ag Growers' farming operations more efficient, productive and sustainable. Employer offers competitive base salary plus incentivized bonus program and excellent benefits package including a Truck, an ATV and health insurance whose annual premium is $200 or less for an individual or family.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Associate or 4-year Ag-related degree preferred
- CCA certification preferred but not required
- Passion for Agriculture and working with cropping systems and Ag Growers
- Solid communication skills including strong relationship-building and sales skillset
- Ability to respond promptly to Ag Grower needs, resolve issues
- Valid driver license with safe driving record
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Preference for Agronomist already residing within territory or looking to relocate back to this area.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
This Field Agronomist will spend much of their time supporting the Senior Field Agronomist activities. Primary duties to include:
- Putting forth a professional image and and excellent service to Ag Grower accounts
- Traveling to and learning Ag Grower fields and crops
- Building agronomic knowledge
- Working closely with Ag Growers
- Developing and utilizing their input recommendation skills
- Building / Maintaining a profitable book of customer business
- Timely and efficient follow-up as well as regular updates with Ag Growers
- Assisting other Field Agronomists with their workload as necessary
- Participate in training and mentoring opportunities as required
- Working extended hours as necessary
