  • Bachelor's degree in Agricultural Disciplines, Business, Communications or related fields.
  • Must be hands on, demonstrating a strong intellect and superior skills in communication, combined with a drive to deliver results.
  • The candidate will have a record of having lead transformative initiatives, independently, demonstrating an ability to influence the business to achieve rapid step-change in results.

Job Description

Hansen Agri-PLACEMENT is representing an established Food Processing company who is searching for a Contract Manager for their operation. The Contract Manager is responsible for contracting across North America and driving our commitment to set ourselves apart through the strength of farmer relationships and partnership approach. We execute this by having long-term commitments focused on our regenerative practices, digital technologies and agronomic excellence that ensures our total supply chain from farmer to customer benefits. Leading in farmer relations is key and a cornerstone of the Company's reputation.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • As part of the Leadership team, the Potato Grower Relations Manager will work closely with area Directors and regional teams to ensure a collaborative and mutually beneficial relationship with our farmers. Focused on the Company's Agricultural commitments and strategies, executing a sustainable pricing model for our potato network across North America that drives efficiencies throughout the supply chain.
  • Leads contract negotiations across North America by working in close collaboration with Regional teams and Associations to ensure secure supply versus our sales demands.
  • Identify and execute sustainable efficiencies that benefit the total supply chain.
  • Understand and communicate the wider Agriculture environment and dynamics such as inflationary pressures, future legislation challenges, competitive rotational crops etc.
  • Collaborates with the demand team to assist with in-season challenges and forecast to execute long-term planning strategies (2-7 years).
  • Support and adopt practices to help mitigate Climatic challenges faced by all regions across North America.
  • Further develop and execution our new variety strategy to drive adoption from Seed to the processing crop.
  • Builds trust-based relationships with members, prospective members, and internal/external business partners to develop and execute on strategic plans.
  • Coordinates contract administration and work with shared services to maintain grower information.
  • Attends and represent the Company in agricultural industry events to cultivate relationships with current and prospective grower.

MEASURES OF SUCCESS:

  • Creates a path for ensuring that the Company is a lead partner within our Grower communities.
  • Successful contract negotiations with a win/win commitment on meeting the needs of the business and Farmers.
  • Contributes to the wider Agriculture strategies and enhances understanding of Agriculture risk and opportunities to the North American Senior leadership team.
  • Regular program updates with appropriate stakeholders as initiatives require to ensure projects are delivered as committed.
