Qualifications:

- Bachelor's or Master’s Degree in Meat or Animal Science preferred but not required
- Two or more years of operations management experience, preferably in a USDA packing plant
- Production employee supervision experience
- Good knowledge / understanding of current USDA regulations and standards
- Willing to managing a 1 shift, 5 day per week facility with 12-15 employees
- Self-directed and hard-working

- High integrity


Job Description:

Hansen Agri-PLACEMENT is assisting an established food processor who is seeking an experienced Meat Packing Plant Manager for their new meat processing operation located in Utah. This Manager will oversee the workflow processes and operations of all departments within a small, one-shift packing plant.

The successful candidate will have:
Similar experience as well as a firm understanding of meat processing techniques and cost management experience regarding yields
Efficiency and packaging utilization as well as safety performance of the plant
USDA and HACCP compliance
GMPs/ensuring that processes meet the quality standards of both customers and the owner
People management skills and plant maintenance
Other responsibilities to include: HR, hiring/firing, supervision, training, refrigeration and sanitation processes.
