- PhD in Animal Science or a related field (Nutrition, Physiology, Biomedical Sciences,
Pre-Vet Studies)
- BS and MS in Animal Science or a related field (Nutrition, Physiology, Biomedical Sciences, Pre-Vet Studies) with at least 3 years additional experience in the animal nutrition sector

In addition to the above, the following are desirable attributes:

- Experience on a farm, with preference for dairy or beef
- Passion for neonatal nutrition and physiology
- Research experience
- Public speaking and publications in peer-reviewed journals or popular press outlets
- The ability to work interdepartmentally

Hansen Agri-PLACEMENT is assisting an established Ag Employer in their search for an experienced Nutrition and Technical Support Supervisor for their feed manufacturing operation in New York State. The successful candidate will be a highly skilled nutritionist with exceptional communication and team-building skills. Other responsibilities will include:


- Formulate milk replacer and protein encapsulated fat (PEF):
- Maintain existing formulations using formulation software for day-to-day manufacturing
- Develop new products with scientifically-proven nutritional benefits
- Support the milk replacer and PEF Sales teams with:
- On-farm support (e.g., evaluating and improving existing calf program, troubleshooting concerns with farmers, suggesting which of COMPANY's products may fit well with their goals)
- Development and presentation of technical and lay presentations and write-ups
- Generation of new marketing ideas
- Serve as the interface between the Quality Assurance Department and the customer by:
- Leading communication and generation of written responses when there is a customer complaint or question
- Conducting analyses on competitor samples and contrasting with COMPANY’s products
- Increase economic viability of COMPANY by:
- Working closely with Procurement to evaluate new products and provide the price at which they need to be purchased to lower costs of finished goods
- Formulating with adherence to tight inventory rotation and determining solutions to rework defective product in a manner that adheres to high safety and quality standards
- Work closely with international partners and the established Canadian team to:
- Improve upon existing knowledge
- Develop, execute, and present research trials conducted at COMPANY’s Canadian facility
