- Good animal husbandry experience, able to spot, diagnose and treat sick cattle
- Prefer good cow ranch experience
- Hard working, able to take direction, good communication skills
- Good attitude, dependable, trustworthy, and able to work in a team environment
- Good routine maintenance skills and general repairs of Ag equipment
- Good communication skills
- Computer and technology skills a plus
- Experience with tractor/trailer for hauling hay/cattle is a plus


Hansen Agri-PLACEMENT is searching for a good Ranch Assistant for this northwestern South Dakota ranch operation. Must have good cow experience and prefer someone interested in cow and calves. Need to have experience in calving and be able to work well with other people and have a strong work ethic, as this person will be working with numerous people and working long days during calving and heat detecting. Must be dependable and reliable. Will assist pasture counts, hay production, equipment maintenance, building and maintaining fences. In the summer they will help put up hay. Person must be dependable, have good decision-making skills, and a self-starter who is willing to assist in all areas of the operation. Ideally the employer would like to see someone that has 3-5+ years working experience and knowledge with cow/calf. Great opportunity with a progressive operator and after a year chance to run some cows.
