Primary Qualifications:

- MSc. or BSc. degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Engineering, Applied Sciences or other related field with minimum 5 years of related experience
- Solid experience in Formulations Science, Chemistry and/or Engineering
- PROVEN EXPERIENCE in Agricultural Formulations
- Experience working with Encapsulation Technologies.
- Working knowledge of Regulatory Requirements, especially those relating to Ag products.
- Excellent Communication Skills with solid ability to articulate thoughts and ideas.
- Demonstrated Leadership Skills.
- Solid Interpersonal Skills.

Additional Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with Agricultural Application Systems such as Seed Treatments is HIGHLY BENEFICIAL.
- Broad knowledge of state-of-the-art scientific principles, theories, characterizations and control strategies.
- Demonstrated success in technical proficiency, scientific creativity, strategic planning and independent thought.
- Proven ability to initiate, direct and execute science-based research projects across all stages of R&D as well as ability to participate in and/or lead the development of technology strategy.
- Solid ability to work collaboratively with multiple individuals/groups on technical R&D projects.
- A creative thinker with ability to look "outside the box".

Hansen Agri-PLACEMENT is assisting a progressive Ag Organization seeking a Research Scientist for their facility located in Maryland. Primary responsibilities to include:
- All stages of Agricultural formulation and encapsulation development in support of the company biologics portfolio.
- Conducting lab-based R&D projects in collaboration with external partners and clients.
- Driving toward achieving technical objectives through a better understanding/knowledge of molecular and biological mechanisms that lead to more effective formulations to stabilize, protect and deliver bioactives with an emphasis on Agricultural microbials.
- Collaborating in a flat-matrixed organization focused on early-to-late stage formulations, process and analytical method development, manufacturing scale-up and regulatory issues to deliver against technical and business objectives.
